This book was self published through Createspace/Amazon. The main purpose of the book is to help anyone who is in prostitution, enslaved by prostitution, or has been in prostitution. This book is also for anyone who has been a survivor of abuse and trauma and for all of those who have endured being in the sex industry. The reason for writing the book was to put a face on prostitution. This is a way to let the public know that prostitutes deserve compassion, empathy, help, love, compassion, and to be safe just like everyone else. Being a prostitute does not automatically deserve people's harsh judgement and predjudices. The main message of the book that the authors hope you take away is that we can change, we matter, and we can make a difference. This website was once the place of a discussion blog in which people could share their thoughts and feelings about different topics in Shailey's life. Through this process Shailey and Vickie were able to work together to write this book. Thank you to everyone who ever contributed time to this website or to the blog and helping make this book become a reality. Thank you to everyone who helped raise awareness.
